Angel Ranch has been around for many years - sometimes as a real place, and sometimes as a state of mind.
Every year, Louise Schmelka photographs and creates a scrapbook of
her many animals that year, including a memorial to those who have passed. She calls each scrapbook
Angel Ranch. Although she has had ranches in the past, her dream has been to have
a place of her own, free of debt, and big enough to provide a great home to her rather large
"family".
In 2005, her dream was realised by her purchase of a 2 and a half
acre property in Lancaster, California. Her fiance, Scott Docherty,
has been an Internet professional for the last 10 years, so it was a natural to innaugurate an online scrapbook,
Angel Ranch Online.
